Alleged Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake screenshot leaked with developer markings

A screenshot potentially from the rumored Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake has surfaced online via insider TheHiddenOneAC. The image clearly displays the marking "Dev_Build_0425_HavanaScene," indicating an internal development version featuring an updated Havana location.

According to the insider, the screenshot was anonymously provided by someone close to Ubisoft and showcases significant visual improvements compared to the original 2013 release. Based on the image, developers have substantially reworked textures, lighting, and world details.

The leak supports previous insiders information suggesting the remake will not only feature updated graphics on an enhanced Anvil engine but also include new gameplay mechanics and wildlife interactions similar to recent franchise entries.

Ubisoft has yet to officially announce the remake, though PlayStation Store briefly labeled Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag as an "announced" title recently.

It's worth noting that this leak emerged on April 1.
