Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc sets global release date

Sony Pictures has officially announced that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will arrive in US theaters on October 29, 2025, as part of a massive international release.

The highly anticipated anime film will make its debut in Japan on September 19, with global audiences following shortly after, as Sony rolls out the film across more than 80 countries starting September 24. The announcement came during CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Sony revealed they've secured worldwide theatrical rights for the next chapter in the bloody saga.

To celebrate the announcement, Sony shared a new poster featuring the Chainsaw Man wielding his signature chainsaw arms.

Serving as a direct sequel to the 2022 anime series, the movie continues the story of Denji, a teenage boy who made a deal with the Chainsaw Devil Pochita to be revived as the fearsome Chainsaw Man.

The movie picks up where season one left off, with Denji now established as part of Special Division 4's devil hunters and romantically involved with Makima. The plot takes a significant turn when Denji encounters a cafe worker named Reze, whose introduction promises to deliver the intense action and emotional complexity fans have come to expect from the franchise.
